Ok, so I am done with the planning for the next show. I have a great list of bands that I am going to play that are both well known and not as known. I am planning on recording the show Friday afternoon. In the past, I was able to stream my show live, but since I have been out of the game for such a long time, I need to build up my experience and will do my first live show in either December or January. Hopefully as well, If I have enough change in my pocket, I am going to see about recording some interviews. I have a couple of people that I can talk into it. But I will play that by ear when I am ready to go there. Thanks for Listening.

I know over the past year, I have been talking about recording my next episode for the last year or so. I have gone a couple of times and setup my recording equipment and recorded the episode to only not like what I did. but now I say screw it. I am just going to do it and get it over with. If I dont, I will never get rid of the nervousness and the procrastination I get before doing a recording.

I have started planning. I have a song list and a pretty decent concert calendar, but I still have a couple of areas that I still need to work on before I make a draft for the timeline.

So, with that, look forward to Metal Tonite Episode 20. Coming soon.

On August 29th, Cement Shoes Records had just released its very first CD on their new label, Godhead the Shadow Line.

Godhead is one of those bands that should be more famous because they have always made completely badass music, which can also be heard on their previous album titled Evolver. The Shadow Line is as much different from their previous CDs as it is similar. The album has a slower pace to it in general, but the slower pace doesn’t effect how great all of the songs are.

All of the songs were greatly written. You can understand everything that the vocalist Jason Miller was singing and all of the riffs are very distinguishable, catchy, and don’t sound muddy at all. The guitar solos that were played by lead guitarist Mike Miller were amazing and can bring a tear to the eye of any metal music lover.

The bassist Ullrich Hepperlin is the man of the group who makes Godhead sound like Godhead. He can shred his bass riffs very well, but he is the man behind the awesome industrial electronic sound that Godhead has had since the album I first heard from them, 2000 Years of Human Error. I presume their other two albums I have yet to hear also have the programming integrated into the songs.

Although they have a new drummer this time around, Glendon Crain fits the personality of the band to a T. He plays some crazy beats while he continues to show why Godhead have made a real impact to Hollywood and the complete metal and industrial scene of this country and around the world.

Inside, they also had a DVD that came with the CD. On the DVD there are music videos for the first single off of The Shadow Line called Trapped in Your Lies, two videos for the singles on Evolver called The Hate in Me and Far Too Long, and Behind the Scenes video from the whole recording process from this album and Behind the Scenes from the video shoot for Trapped in Your Lies.

All Together, The Shadow Line is by far the epitome of Godhead and they have nowhere to go but up, especially since their signing up with Cement Shoes Records. This fall, around October or so, they will be going out on tour with their two brand new label mates Ill Nino and Ra and with their buddy band The Dreaming. You can find the dates if you go to the tour page on Myspace for The Congress of Corruption Tour and at their website http://www.godhead.com

I recommend this CD to everyone, and I also recommend checking out their previous albums: Evolver, 2000 years of Human Error, Power Tool Stigmata, and Nothingness.
